Job Overview
Supports the Associate Director, FP&A, UKI. The Financial Analyst FP&A will be responsible for supporting the EMEA Finance & Commercial Operations Function in all areas of management information, ranging from standard tasks to assisting in ad-hoc requests and serving as a key contact point with the supported service leads / finance leads.
Responsibilities
- Understand the data structure of IQVIA in order to maintain reporting accuracy and to be able to translate business requests into reports that support management insights and decisions
- Serves as key contact point with UKI Finance & Operations leadership, reviews monthly results, forecasts/ budgets. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Maintains detailed understanding of internal customer requirements and develop processes that will meet or exceed these requirements.
- Be familiar with, and ensure compliance with, internal financial accounting procedures and policies.
- Ensures all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained and complete in preparation for independent audits.
- Prepare and perform comprehensive quality checks on every report as standard; troubleshoot issues and find solutions as required; propose process improvements to minimize occurrence of issues
- Month End close processes and procedures for P&L including preparing relevant journals; Preparation and review of monthly variance analysis; Completion and review of month end expenses and accruals & Preparation of various Month end Drill downs of Revenue and Costs.
- Automation of finance reporting
- Assistance in the preparation of SOX and Internal/External audit requirements
- Support on integration of UK acquisitions into SAP
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Technical accounting skills, Good analytical and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of financial systems, including ERP applications and reporting suites such as Hyperion / Peoplesoft
- Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
