The Consultant within the Brand Outsourcing & HCP Engagement group supports the delivery of high‑value consulting engagements by providing strategic insight, forecasting, and analysis to help clients anticipate challenges, assess risks, and optimize commercial and engagement outcomes. Working closely with engagement leads and client owners, the Consultant contributes to projects focused on brand lifecycle outsourcing and HCP engagement models, supporting decision‑making through robust analysis, scenario planning, and identification of potential obstacles to successful execution. The role plays a critical part in ensuring high‑quality delivery and client satisfaction but does not hold primary ownership of the client relationship.
Essential Functions
- Strategic Insight & Analysis: Support client engagements through forecasting, scenario modelling, and analytical insight related to Brand Outsourcing and HCP engagement strategies. Identify potential risks, barriers, and execution challenges across brand lifecycle, operating models, and engagement approaches. Analyse market, client, and performance data to inform strategic recommendations and course‑correction options. Support the development of clear, evidence‑based insights that help clients anticipate and mitigate obstacles to success.
- Client Engagement Support: Work closely with engagement leads and client owners to support delivery of strategic consulting projects. Contribute to client presentations, reports, and workshops, delivering defined sections of analysis and insight. Support follow‑up activities to assess outcomes and ensure client objectives are being met. Build strong working relationships with client teams while operating primarily in a supporting advisory role.
- Brand Outsourcing & HCP Engagement Expertise: Develop a strong understanding of brand lifecycle outsourcing models, HCP engagement strategies (field, remote, hybrid, omnichannel), and commercial operating models and execution challenges. Apply this expertise to support solution design and delivery across engagements. Remain current on industry, client, and competitive trends relevant to Brand Outsourcing and HCP Engagement.
- Business Development Support: Support proposal development and pre‑sales activities through analysis, insight generation, and content development. Contribute to opportunity shaping by identifying risks, assumptions, and delivery considerations. Assist engagement leads in identifying potential follow‑on work through insight‑driven recommendations.
- Team & Capability Development: Share expertise and insights with project team members to strengthen delivery quality. Support internal capability building through contribution to tools, methodologies, and best practices. Participate in performance review, recruitment, and mentoring activities as required.
Qualifications
- Typically 12-15 years’ experience in consulting and the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Experience supporting strategic consulting engagements focused on brand, commercial strategy, or engagement models.
- Exposure to forecasting, scenario planning, or analytical modelling within a commercial context.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and anticipate challenges.
- Ability to work with complex, ambiguous information and translate analysis into practical insight.
- Clear, structured communication skills (written and verbal), with experience contributing to senior‑level client materials.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in supporting advisory roles within larger engagement teams.
- Good understanding of brand and commercial dynamics within life sciences.
- High attention to detail, strong planning skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
