The Role: We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Delegate Sales Executive to join our Commercial Sales team in London. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in B2B and commercial sales. You do not need extensive sales experience; we are looking for individuals with the right attitude, ambition, communication skills, and willingness to learn. As a Delegate Sales Executive, you will be responsible for promoting IQPC's market-leading conferences and events to senior professionals and decision-makers across a range of industries. You will develop your commercial and sales skills through structured training, coaching, and hands-on experience in a professional corporate environment. You will learn how to identify prospects, conduct outbound sales activity, build relationships, understand client needs, and successfully close business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively promote and sell IQPC's market-leading B2B conferences and events
- Identify and research prospective delegates and target organisations
- Generate new business through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other sales channels
- Engage with professionals and senior decision-makers across a range of industries
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective delegates
- Develop professional relationships with prospects and existing clients
- Manage the sales process from initial outreach through to securing conference registrations
- Take a consultative approach to sales by understanding prospects' professional priorities and matching them with relevant event content
- Develop a strong understanding of the markets, industries, and topics covered by your events
- Work closely with Conference Producers and Marketing teams to identify target audiences and develop effective delegate acquisition strategies
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure sales activity is consistently tracked
- Work towards and consistently achieve individual sales targets and KPIs
- Take responsibility for your own development and actively participate in training and coaching
About You: This role is designed for someone who is looking to start or develop their career in commercial sales and wants to work in a professional, target-driven corporate environment. Previous sales experience is beneficial but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate ambition, resilience, confidence, and a genuine desire to build a successful career in sales. Ideally, you will have:
