About the role: The role ensures business continuity by driving materials supply and availability to meet SIOP requirements, while supporting optimal business performance through proactive identification of supply risks, project support, and delivery of improvements in quality, delivery excellence, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
- Reviews PO variances to the plan; past due and aged unconfirmed orders providing resolution with the supply base.
- Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, part parameters, equipment maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information.
- Recommend cost saving proposals including alternative sourcing with approval of team.
- Work with Engineering to support procurement lead-time and cost.
- Manage and maintain item master/organization attributes for assigned products.
- Resolves accounts payable/receivable discrepancies for any/items assigned.
- Resolves delivery/receiving discrepancies for any/all items assigned.
- Remains current on economic, industrial and other trends that affect market and prices.
- Supports ERP integration activities and assists Project Manager with implementations.
- Manage the supplier database.
- Adhere to Procurement policies and standard operating procedures across IQE's manufacturing facilities.
- Adhere to all internal safety, HR, environmental and quality guidelines.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in business/supply chain management or similar preferred.
- Working towards CIPS or CPIM qualifications are desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Awareness, knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience of procurement and logistics within an established manufacturing or service environment.
- Familiarisation with ISO9001:2008 quality systems, with key strengths in Purchasing & logistics aspects of the standard.
- Driver License - Preferable.
- Basic COSHH/COMAH/ADR Awareness - Preferable.
- Working experience within IATF16949/Technology environment - Preferable.
