The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and organised Surveyor to join our growing team, covering projects across North Wales and the North West of England.

Reporting to the Business Unit Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of utility projects.

This position involves undertaking site surveys, assessing electrical cut-out conditions, gathering customer and property information, and producing accurate reports that support project mobilisation and delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, managing their own workload, building strong customer relationships and contributing to high-profile utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Surveyor, you will:

  • Conduct surveys at residential and commercial properties to assess electrical cut-out conditions.
  • Gather and accurately record property owner and tenant information.
  • Organise and manage your own survey schedules, routes and appointments to maximise efficiency.
  • Support Project Managers and Supervisors with the planning and coordination of project works.
  • Identify and maximise surveying opportunities to support business performance targets.
  • Review engineering documentation to assess project feasibility and compliance with client requirements.
  • Capture and upload survey data using the SPEN App to support project mobilisation.
  • Produce accurate and professional survey reports, including service conditions, findings and performance information.
  • Assist with the assessment of equipment, materials and supplier tenders where required.
  • Provide technical and operational support throughout project design, construction and delivery phases.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all company procedures, quality standards and health and safety requirements are followed.
  • Produce regular management information reports to monitor performance and activity levels.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A customer-focused mindset.

Desirable

  • Previous surveying experience.
  • Experience within the LV/HV electrical or utilities sector.
  • Knowledge of utility infrastructure projects and network operations.
