Location: Bodelwyddan, Wales. There will be a requirement to travel to various site locations across the SP Manweb area.

Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 DOE. Company Van & further benefits.

Contract: Full time, Permanent. Hours: 40 Hours (8am - 5pm).

About this role and what you will be doing:

Managing and planning the day-to-day civil works supporting the Bodelwyddan office. This role will be overseeing our day-to-day civils operations and subcontractors ensuring that works are delivered to schedule and to design specification. Responsible for day-to-day site management of projects, material and resource planning for the delivery of works, budgetary control and resource supervision to ensure projects are delivered to agreed financial limits and meet Clients' expectations in relation to program, customer service requirements and quality.

Controls project progress and work standards, ensuring that safe working practices are followed and assets are built to the adopting network operator's specifications. Address and resolve problems and complaints ensuring a pro-active approach is maintained to build successful working relationships with all IQA Clients and both internal and external stakeholders.

Working as a key member of our field team, your day to day will involve:

  • Ensuring a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors.
  • Directing and supervising day to day operations of sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures.
  • Ensuring material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme.
  • Scheduling, controlling and monitoring all plant and materials on a weekly basis.
  • Liaising with the Project management team regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions, including daily costs of labour, material, sub-contractors.
  • Carrying out safety inspections and fulfilling the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company's Policy.
  • Ensuring all team members conform to instructions stated in Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensuring that accidents and near misses are suitably reported, recorded and investigated, and that remedial action is carried out promptly.
  • Controlling all aspects of traffic management.
  • Maintaining quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Controlling and monitoring site waste in accordance with the Company's Site Waste Minimisation and Management policy.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • Previous Supervisory experience gained in similar industry.
  • NRSWA (Supervisor) Certification.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Good health and safety knowledge and practices.
  • Sound commercial awareness and sensitivity.
  • Good team and man management skills, being able to drive team and individuals to achieve deadlines in a challenging environment.
  • Excellent Client management skills.
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
