We are mobilising a specialised field team to deliver next-generation high-voltage infrastructure. From Synchronous Condensers to Battery Storage (BESS) and HV Substations, we are hiring skilled operatives to build the projects that will stabilise the grid and power the energy transition in the United Kingdom and in the Republic of Ireland.

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Bid Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. Working under the guidance of the Tender Manager, you will:

  • Develop and prepare comprehensive technical and economic proposals for both public and private sectors within the UK energy market.
  • Analyse detailed tender documents (ITTs) to identify the specific Electrical scope of work, project risks, and technical requirements.
  • Conduct technical site visits to assess local ground conditions, constraints, and project viability first-hand.
  • Build detailed economic budgets using high-level Excel, incorporating pricing from manufacturers, contractors, and delivery teams.
  • Develop project construction schedules and cost projections in collaboration with our engineering and planning divisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Quality, Logistics, H&S, and Environment to gather critical tender compliance data.
  • Analyse and compare external supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure full alignment with tender specifications.
  • Attend client clarification meetings and manage post-submission technical queries through to a successful project handover.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Engineering (Electrical).
  • Open to entry-level or individuals with a background in electrical infrastructure, procurement, or planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and MS Project for complex calculations and project scheduling.
  • Strong analytical capacity to evaluate technical specifications and calculate precise electrical plant, cabling, and switchgear cost estimations.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across engineering, safety, and commercial teams to coordinate compliance data.
  • Full flexibility to travel occasionally to client meetings and various project site locations as required.
