Painter and Decorator

This is a part time role for 24 hours on a fixed term contract starting 01/07/26 and finishing 30/09/26

Role Summary

To provide high standards of painting and decorating at iQ Student buildings, ensuring our resident spaces are ready for customers to enjoy their Best Year YetKey Role Responsibilities Works as part of a team, supporting and respecting other team members, to deliver the iQ StandardCommunicate effectively with customers & team members to understand and complete the tasksShow pride in the work delivered and maintain workspace and equipment to high standardsUndertake painting/decorating in student spaces, bedrooms studios, kitchens and communal areas.Understand and respond to health and safety matters in an appropriate & timely mannerSupport onsite MT's with ad hoc tasks such as moving heavy furniture and heavy items on site or between locationsFollow iQ Compliance procedures and safe systems of work guidelinesReport any incidents or accidents to the Operations Manager using the correct system and documentation Health and safety induction will be provided prior to start date, covering all required aspects for the role.Knowledge & Qualifications A reasonable level of general education educated to O' Level / GCSE level or equivalent with demonstrable written and numerical skills.Awareness of H&S requirements on siteContinually strives to improve knowledge, skills and abilities to produce the best results Experience & Skills Compliance with all operating systems, policies & procedures.Helpful, friendly personality with effective communication skillsBehave in a professional, courteous and helpful manner towards colleagues and residents at all timesAdopt a team work approachA flexible approach to workPositive attitude and ability to work with little supervisionSmart in appearance
