Business Intelligence Analyst

As a BI Analyst you\’ll help turn data into clear insights that support smarter decisions across iQ Student Accommodation. Working within a supportive, collaborative BI team, you\’ll develop reports, dashboards and datasets while building your skills with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and modern data‑modelling practices.

This role is ideal for someone early in their BI career–curious, eager to learn, and ready to get hands‑on with real business problems. You\’ll work on everything from ad‑hoc analysis to supporting larger reporting initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience using Power BI, including building reports and basic DAX.
• Understanding of core analytics concepts such as data modelling, star schema design and measures.
• Foundational SQL skills for querying and exploring data.
• Familiarity with Power Query for data transformation.
• Ability to turn business questions into reporting requirements with support from senior team members.
• Confident communicator who can work with stakeholders across a range of technical levels.
• Comfortable balancing multiple tasks or small projects.

Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years in a BI, data or analytical role–but we\’re also open to graduates with the right passion and potential.
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Foundational SQL experience for exploring and validating data.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric or similar) is helpful but not essential.
