The role

We're looking for a talented Senior Copywriter to be the voice of the iQ brand.
As part of our in-house Studio, you'll create compelling, customer-focused copy across campaigns, digital channels, CRM, social media, web, property marketing and more. From shaping major brand campaigns to crafting the perfect headline, you'll help bring our ideas to life and ensure everything we say feels unmistakably iQ.
Reporting to the Studio Manager, you'll also lead the evolution of our tone of voice, set editorial standards across the business and support the development of our Junior Copywriter.
Key responsibilities:
Lead copy development for major brand and marketing campaigns, from concept through to execution.
Create engaging, effective copy across digital, print, CRM, social, web, video and internal communications.
Collaborate closely with designers and marketers to develop ideas where words and visuals work seamlessly together.
Translate complex information into simple, compelling customer messages.
Use audience insight, data and testing to continually improve content performance.
Own and evolve iQ's tone of voice, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.
Mentor and develop the Junior Copywriter while championing best practice across the Studio.
Bring fresh ideas, cultural awareness and creative inspiration to strengthen our brand storytelling.
What we're looking for:
Significant copywriting experience within an agency, in-house studio or consumer-facing brand.
An outstanding portfolio showcasing both creative thinking and exceptional writing.
Strong experience developing brand messaging and tone of voice.
Confidence writing across both brand-led and commercial communications.
Experience working closely with designers, marketing teams and stakeholders.
A natural editor with excellent attention to detail.
A brilliant writer who knows how to make complex things simple.
Equally comfortable developing big creative ideas and refining the smallest details.
Collaborative, curious and commercially minded.
Passionate about developing others and building creative excellence.
Organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
Interested in culture, trends and how brands connect with people.
Bonus points if you've worked in student living, hospitality, travel or accommodation, and have previous people management or mentoring experience.
