An Audio-Visual Commissioning Engineer with a very strong Audio Visual background and AVIXA CTS qualifications is required to work with our Higher Education client to perform on-site commissioning and configuration programming.

Essential Experience

  • Experience using Audio Visual Remote Management tools such as Crestron Fusion, Utelogy or similar.
  • Excellent Audio Visual skills including configuring AV systems.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience of administering Crestron-based control systems in a service environment.
  • Hands-on commissioning of systems skills (able to IP, setup, configure devices and sign them off).
  • AVIXA CTS qualification.
  • Knowledge of the principles of TCP/IP Networking, including familiarity with common Internet protocols (e.g. HTTP, SMTP, LDAP, SFTP/SSH, etc.) and associated client software.
  • Thorough and wide-ranging knowledge of professional audio-visual equipment, systems, and technologies together with an industry standard qualification in AV systems, such as AVIXA CTS.
  • Ability to manage problems through to resolution, often with uncertain and incomplete information, with an eye for detail and accuracy and an aptitude for analytical and logical methodologies.
  • Good communication skills with an ability to explain technical issues to non-specialists together with a strong customer focus.
  • Familiarity with working on site environments, following and maintaining existing special health and safety procedures applicable to this environment.
  • Familiarity with use of common software applications e.g. e-mail and office software.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of working in a Higher Education environment would be desirable and advantageous.
  • Experience/knowledge of AutoCAD used to produce wiring schematics/M&E drawings etc.
  • Knowledge of lecture capture solutions such as Panopto.
  • Experience of using fault logging system.
  • Experience of Digital Signage technologies.
  • Crestron system experience.

On site full time in central London - Pay rate £350-£400 per day inside IR35 depending on experience.
