You will lead the delivery of high-quality trade settlement services to a portfolio of clients, managing a team across global delivery locations. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will oversee complex trade settlement activity, ensure operational excellence, and maintain strong relationships with clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders. This role combines technical expertise, people leadership, and client management in a fast-paced financial services environment.
What you will do
- You will oversee a portfolio of trade settlement clients, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality service delivery in line with agreed service levels.
- You will manage and develop a team of Loan Settlement Analysts and Senior Loan Settlement Analysts, monitoring quality, efficiency, and workload allocation.
- You will act as the primary escalation point and subject matter expert for trade settlements, supporting teams and clients with issue resolution.
- You will proactively liaise with clients, counterparties, agents, and treasury teams to ensure smooth settlement execution and funding readiness.
- You will review, delegate, and sign off settlement activity, ensuring accurate system input, reporting, and month-end deliverables.
- You will develop and enhance procedures and training materials, driving knowledge transfer, process improvement, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications
- You have a third-level qualification in Business or a related discipline and several years’ experience in trade settlements, loan operations, or corporate lending.
- You have strong working knowledge of trade settlement platforms and market tools such as ClearPar, Bloomberg, and loan administration systems (Allvue advantageous).
- You’ll have experience with LSTA / LMA settlement markets (preferred).
- You have experience managing or supporting teams, with the ability to delegate effectively and maintain high quality standards.
- You are highly organised with strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse, input, and validate complex financial data.
- You are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- You bring excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with a strong commercial mindset.
