Do you want to make an impact with an independent Manufacturer and Supplier of high-quality glass products? If so, we are looking for full-time Factory Operatives to assist in the manufacturing of double-glazing units to join our team in Ipswich, Suffolk on a full-time permanent basis!

About the role:

As the Factory Operative you will be involved with general production and assembly of glass sealed units, glass cutting, loading. You will report directly to the Shift Supervisor and Manager. Operate the assembly and preparation of the components used in the manufacture of double-glazed units. Operate equipment in the factory to assemble the products using hands, machinery, and various tools. Assemble and check the products, ensuring all machinery being used runs smoothly and assisting in racking and loading prior to deliveries to customers. Permanent position offered after successful completion of the 3-month probation period. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5.30pm, with optional overtime and Saturday mornings.

About you:

You will not need to have previously worked with glass, as full training will be given, would be helpful if you have experience in production, manufacturing, mechanical or engineering processes. You must be reliable, hardworking, a fast learner, have good timekeeping, be able to use own initiative as well as be able to work as part of a team. You will need to demonstrate that you can work and communicate effectively with all staff in the production team, including at Supervisor levels. Due to health and safety requirements around machinery, you will need to be fluent in English.
