Active Ipswich & Ipswich Fit are looking to recruit a Swimming Instructor to their already exciting Swimming Lesson programme (the largest in the local area). This includes those who are looking for self‑employed work.

The Successful applicant will be responsible for teaching adults and children with varying learning or physical abilities/needs to swim (in accordance with Swim England & Institute for Sport guidance), a vital life skill.

The Applicant will be required to have either the previous Level 2 Swimming Instructors Qualification, or the newly combined National Swimming Instructors Qualification. Those who are currently undertaking their qualification or have been accepted onto a future course may still apply with the understanding that they cannot take up the full role until completion of the course and qualification documents have been received.

We are looking for a friendly, positive‑minded instructor who is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Applicants need to be confident delivering in front of a variety of people and have a passion for their craft. Water safety needs to be at the forefront of their minds with an eye to being creative with lesson planning and implementation.

Successful applicants will join at an exciting time as the future of Sport in Ipswich continues to develop across the town with some big projects on the horizon.

The post holder will not be required to work a shift pattern, but shifts they do pick up could include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

DBS clearance is required for this role.
