Ipswich Borough Council operate various sports sites across the town, we are looking for hard working, organised and motivated individuals to join the team. The job will require evening and weekend working β you will need to be able to adapt to different tasks in what can be a fast moving busy environment. You will be responsible for the setting up / down of equipment, cleaning and various other tasks with tight deadlines to enable customers to enjoy their sessions in a safe and clean environment.
You will be confident in delivering gym inductions and offering bespoke gym programmes for gym clients. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the team with the efficient day-to-day operation of our sports and leisure facilities to ensure our customers can be more active in a safe and customer focused environment and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our gyms.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and set down of activity equipment
- Customer enquiries and supervision of childrenβs activities
- Cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Deliver gym inductions and offer bespoke gym programmes for gym clients
- Assist with the efficient day-to-day operation of the sports and leisure facilities
There are various vacancies available for this position across Gainsborough and Whitton Sports Centre as well as at Crown Pools. These are permanent hours and will be the same each week.
- Gainsborough Sports Centre β Monday 09:00-16:30 (7 hours); Friday 09:00-16:30 (7 hours)
- Whitton Sports Centre β Tuesday 14:00-22:30 (8 hours)
- Crown Pools β Thursday 06:00-12:30 (6 hours)
Casual positions are not available through this recruitment; we will only be recruiting to the hours specified.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Health, fitness and exercise instruction. DBS clearance is required for this role.
