Ipswich Borough Council operate various sports sites across the town. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team on a casual basis. This role is primarily focused on providing weekend party cover, with additional shifts available to cover staff absences, including sickness and annual leave.
Responsibilities
- The job will require evening and weekend working – you will need to be able to adapt to different tasks in what can be a fast-moving busy environment.
- You will be responsible for the setting up / down of equipment, supervising and hosting of children’s parties, cleaning and various other tasks with tight deadlines to enable customers to enjoy their sessions in a safe and clean environment.
- You will play a key role in setting up and clearing away equipment for parties, ensuring everything is organised and ready for guests to arrive.
- You will welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, helping to create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere.
- During parties, you will oversee the party itself, supervising children ensuring their safety at all times.
- You will assist the hosts to ensure each party runs smoothly while creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience for every guest.
- You will be responsible for assisting the team with the efficient day-to-day operation of our sports and leisure facilities to ensure our customers can be more active in a safe and customer focused environment.
Qualifications
- GCSE in Maths & English is required.
- DBS clearance is required for this role.
