A vacancy has arisen in Ipswich Borough Council’s Parks & Cemeteries Service for a Parks Support Officer. Ipswich Borough Council’s Parks Team manage a wide range of parks and green spaces across Ipswich. Our work is not only limited to parks, but it also extends to allotments, housing maintenance schemes, tree surgery, play areas and recreation grounds; no two days are the same.

We are looking for someone to join our busy team, with the possibility of hybrid working a maximum of two days per week. If you enjoy a variety of tasks, are customer focused, have excellent communication skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft products then we would like you to join our team.

The work is varied depending on season, events and weather. You will be providing support to our team, including Grounds Maintenance, Park Protection, Tree Team, Wildlife Rangers, Greenways, Allotments, Stakeholders and members of the public. Appropriate training will be provided where required.
