About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our RJ Power / Ipsum Power Division. You will lead the planning, management and successful delivery of maintenance and project works, ensuring outputs are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to the required specification.

Build and maintain effective, mutually beneficial relationships with clients, sponsors and key stakeholders to support customer satisfaction and enable sustainable business growth.

Provide a Senior Project Manager focus by retaining accountability for direct project delivery while developing, mentoring and supporting the long-term capability of Project Managers and Project Control Apprentices through structured Personal Development Plans and a progressive pathway towards future Project Management Team leadership.

As a Senior Project Manager you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of allocated projects, ensuring scope, programme, cost, quality, safety and stakeholder requirements are clearly defined, controlled and achieved.
  • Review pre-construction information and develop robust implementation plans, including milestones, resources, forecasts, governance arrangements and key deliverables.
  • Produce and maintain required project documentation, including RAMS, task briefings, safe systems of work, Health and Safety Files, O&M information and project records in line with company procedures.
  • Coordinate clients, contractors, subcontractors and internal teams to manage interfaces, minimise risk, resolve issues and maintain effective delivery momentum.
  • Chair and contribute to project reviews, providing clear updates on progress, variances, risks, scope changes and corrective actions.
  • Manage project hand back and close-out, including completion evidence, client acceptance and closure of agreed actions and deliverables.
  • Report and support investigations into project incidents, ensuring appropriate communication, action tracking and close-out.
  • Maintain accurate KPI reporting and performance information to support operational visibility, governance and continuous improvement.

About you:

  • Electrical Qualifications / or experience of leading on Electrically based Projects
  • Project Management Qualification - APM, Prince 2 / or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role within the Electrical or Construction Industry
  • ISOH Managing Safely / or SMSTS Competency
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations and general health and safety legislation in respect to Project Delivery.
  • Good Level of Commercial understanding
  • Line management experience and can demonstrate evidence of successfully managing team performance.
  • Good working knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations and Distribution Safety Rules.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management skills, with ability to deliver tasks to deadline.
  • Professional positive can-do approach with a self-motivated, organised, and a flexible attitude
  • Full UK Driving License
