About The Role…
We’re looking for a Jetting Engineer to join our drainage team based in Haydock, supporting a wide range of planned and reactive works across the region. You’ll operate high‑spec Jetvac units to carry out gully cleaning, desilting, and blockage clearance for a variety of infrastructure clients including commercial, residential, highways and utilities.
This role is hands‑on, mobile, and varied — ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating modern kit, and getting the job done right first time. You’ll also be using our Ipsum Live job management system to manage jobs and report activity in real time.
As a Jetting Engineer you will…
- Drive and operate Jetting and suction equipment
- Carry out gully cleaning, desilt, root cutting and general drainage clearance
- Respond to and resolve reactive works including blockages
- Complete suction activities and support associated drainage operations
- Use Ipsum Live for job tracking, safety reporting and updates
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with company policy
- Maintain clear communication with the wider drainage team and supervisors
- Be flexible – early starts, weekend work and occasional out-of-hours will be required
Qualifications / Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- High Pressure Water Jetting certification
- Confined Space Entry Level 2 or above
- Manual Handling & First Aid
- IT literacy and willingness to use digital job systems
- A strong team ethic and flexible working attitude
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- NRSWA Streetworks
- Experience operating Jetvac units
- Experience in drainage or utilities
- Smart Awards (SA002, MT003)
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and environmental compliance
