About the role
Ipsum have a new and exciting opportunity for a results driven individual looking to join our team. As part of our continuous growth and commitment to Openreach we are looking for new desilt/gully team operators. Working as part of a team, your role will be operating our high spec Jetvac units cleaning Openreach\’s underground infrastructure. Working alongside Openreach engineers, your role will include manhole, box, and chamber cleaning as well as civils avoidance/blockage clearance. Using our innovative Ipsum Live job management system for real time reporting to the client, job management, safety reporting and lots more will efficiently manage your days\’ work.
As a HGV Operator you will
- Driving & Operating HGV Jetting equipment day to day.
- Suction activities.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality and Environment; ensure Company policies are always adhered to.
- Ensure all site related incidents are reported to your Supervisor.
- Contribute and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalate.
- Work closely with Openreach engineers and follow on site instruction.
- Blockage reports.
- Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.
- You need to be flexible: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours.
About you
Desirable:
- Clean HGV Driving Licence
- Experience operating HGV Jetting equipment
- NRSWA Streetworks
- Confined space level 2 and above
- High-pressure water jetting
- Manual Handling & First Aid at Work
- Smart Awards SA002 & MT003
With the exception of Class 2 licence, if no other relevant tickets are valid the business will look to put you through outstanding training.
