About The Role
As a Drainage Apprentice at Ipsum, you will support experienced crews across a variety of working environments while developing practical drainage and maintenance skills through on-the-job training.
A safety-first approach is essential at all times.
Working as part of a two-person team, you will assist in delivering low-complexity drainage schemes and operational tasks to a high standard.
You will be trained to work safely, efficiently, and effectively, ensuring all work is completed within required timescales while contributing positively to the wider team.
As a Drainage Apprentice you will…
• Operating the following equipment day to day based on specific role
- CCTV Unit
- HGV Jetting Unit
- Jet Van
- Survey/Asset Van
- Patching r Lining Unit
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality and Environment
- Ensure Company policies are always adhered to.
- Ensure all site related incidents are reported to your Supervisor.
- Contribute and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalate.
- Work closely with associated Engineers, ensuring all aspects of work are completed on site.
- Contribute towards producing high quality results, reports and feedback.
- Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.
- You need to be flexible too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours working across the UK.

- This role requires a full clean driving licence
- Knowledge & Experience
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety principles (training provided)
- Comfortable using or learning basic IT tools and Microsoft Office
