The predicted salary is between 37800 - 46200 £ per year.

Location: Head office Colwyn Bay – with UK travel, working away from home required.

Salary: Will come with Additional on Target earnings, Company Van and Fuel card, Working away allowance and Meal allowance.

Employment type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 47.5 hours per week

About the role…

ExcelCS part of the Ipsum Group is a specialist water industry contractor delivering high-quality commissioning, testing, compliance and Pipelaying services across the UK. We work closely with major water authorities and framework partners, including Welsh Water, Severn Trent, United Utilities and most major contractors, supporting the delivery of safe, reliable, and fully compliant water infrastructure.

The Delivery Manager is accountable for the safe and effective day-to-day execution of operational delivery across water utility projects. The role ensures that operational teams are fully enabled, coordinated and resourced to deliver against programme, quality, cost and compliance requirements.

The role translates project plans into executable daily activities, leading delivery performance through Commissioning Engineers and proactively resolving operational challenges. A key element of the role is the identification and escalation of risks and constraints that may impact programme, cost, safety or customer outcomes, ensuring all Managers are fully informed to support timely decision making and client engagement.

As a Delivery Manager you will…

  • Day-to-day site management across water and utilities schemes
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers (starting with 1–2 teams, progressing to 4–5)
  • Maintain compliance with H&S, RAMS, permits, and company procedures
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to produce accurate material take-offs
  • Measure completed works against the Schedule of Rates for valuations and reporting
  • Provide accurate progress information to support applications for payment
  • Liaise with clients, inspectors, and internal management
  • Monitor programme progress and report accurately
  • Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and documentation

About you…

  • Industry experience in water is ideal; gas acceptable; power/telecoms considered
  • Commercial awareness (estimating, costs, understanding value)
  • Experience managing site teams and operatives
  • Recording tasks, progress, and site documentation
  • Leadership capability
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and permit systems
  • Full UK driving licence
