About The Role
We're looking for a Technical Content Writer to transform complex technical information into engaging, customer-focused content that showcases Ipsum's specialist expertise. Working closely with subject matter experts, bid teams and business development managers, you'll create compelling case studies, presentations, website content and technical materials that educate customers, support sales and strengthen the Ipsum brand.
As a Technical Content Writer, you will …
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across the business to gather, interpret and translate complex technical information into clear, engaging content for specialist audiences.
- Create high-quality content including customer presentations, case studies, website copy, technical guides, sales enablement materials, videos, infographics and bid support documentation.
- Develop compelling technical narratives that showcase Ipsum's specialist capabilities across sectors such as power, engineering, rail, civils, control & automation and related infrastructure markets.
- Convert technical specifications, drawings, processes and operational expertise into customer-focused content that educates users, supports sales activity and strengthens the Ipsum brand.
- Work closely with marketing, business development, bid and operational teams to identify key messages, develop storytelling opportunities and promote business capabilities, including newly acquired services.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, asking insightful questions to understand audience needs, project objectives and desired business outcomes while ensuring technical accuracy.
- Ensure all content is accurate, engaging and aligned with brand guidelines, carrying out thorough quality checks and incorporating feedback to deliver clear, consistent and impactful communications.
About You
You will be an experienced Technical Content Writer with the ability to turn complex technical information into clear, engaging content for specialist and B2B audiences. Working closely with subject matter experts across the business, you'll be confident gathering and translating technical specifications, drawings and operational knowledge into compelling presentations, case studies, website content, bid materials and sales collateral.
You'll have experience within technical sectors such as power, engineering, rail, civils or control & automation, and be skilled at developing strong technical narratives that support marketing, sales and business growth. With excellent stakeholder management, writing and editing skills, you'll ensure all content is accurate, engaging and aligned to brand objectives while making complex topics easy to understand.
