About The Role As an Operations Support Apprentice at Ipsum, you’ll help our operational teams by providing essential administrative and compliance support. You’ll play a key role in coordinating business travel across the Group and ensuring all arrangements are accurate and efficient. Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll work towards an approved Business Administration apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience, valuable skills, and support from our experienced team as you build the foundation for your career.
As an Operations Support Apprentice you will…
- Coordinating hotel and rail bookings for internal staff, clients, and subcontractors (primary focus)
- Booking internal and external training courses for employees and updating records on the company system
- Scanning, printing, and uploading training, identity, and authorisation documents
- Supporting the general upkeep and organisation of business and team documentation
- Maintaining accurate information across Ipsum’s systems and portals
- Providing day-to-day support to colleagues within the Operations Support team
- Completing all required study and development activities to successfully achieve the Business Administration apprenticeship
About You You’ll bring a strong foundation of learning, supported by 5 GCSEs at Grade 4-9 (A*-C) or equivalent, and ideally some previous administrative experience. You’re someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates confidently across phone, email, and Teams, and takes real pride in making improvements where you can. Self‑motivated and proactive, you’re always ready to step in when colleagues need support and you deliver every task with a strong customer focus.
You’ll be comfortable working with Microsoft Office—particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint—and while experience with SharePoint is an advantage, a willingness to learn is even more important. Above all, you’re enthusiastic about developing your skills and building a career through your Business Administration apprenticeship.
