About The Role
The UK utilities industry is transforming fast - and so are we. We're looking for a driven and passionate Finance Graduate who’s eager to be part of something bigger. If you're excited about supporting frontline teams that deliver vital services 24/7/365 and want your work to have a real impact on local communities, this is your chance to make a difference from day one.
As a Finance Graduate you will:
- Work alongside the group accountant during month‑end and annual audit process
- Assist in the maintenance of financial accounts to ensure accuracy
- Support in the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries
- Support tax compliance across the Group, including VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax, PAYE, PSA and P11D submissions
- Support HMRC and Companies House filings
- Gain hands‑on experience with month end processes, management accounts, forecasting and cash flow across the business
- Support in completion of government reporting (e.g. payment practices, ONS surveys)
- Contribute to ad‑hoc initiatives as required
- Gain hands‑on experience with forecasting and budgeting, supporting strategic financial planning across the business
About You
We're looking for a driven and ambitious finance graduate with a 2:1 or above in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting, who’s ready to kick‑start their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. If you're eager to become a Chartered Accountant and keen to pursue professional qualifications, we’ll back your journey every step of the way.
