About The Role… As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will support the Power Division across the North Power region, working closely with operational teams to provide effective finance business partnering. You’ll help ensure financial controls are maintained and adhered to, supporting strong governance and compliance. You will play an important role in managing working capital and preparing accurate financial and commercial information to support performance, forecasting, and investment decisions. This role offers great exposure within a fast-paced, operational environment and an opportunity to further develop your finance business partnering skills.
As an Assistant Finance Business Partner you will…
- Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Work closely with finance and commercial processing teams to ensure control compliance.
- Carry out debtor and creditor reviews with relevant teams.
- Maintain key tax control accounts and accurate, up-to-date P11D records.
- Review and oversee the payroll process ahead of Finance Business Partner sign-off.
- Prepare and manage cashflow and working capital information for review.
- Ensure best-practice financial controls are adhered to and continuously improved.
About You… You are a part-qualified accountant with a strong desire to progress, challenge yourself, and continue developing your career within a commercial environment. You bring experience from an accounting role, with strong Excel and systems skills, and ideally have exposure to commercial finance. You’re confident working at pace, responding well under pressure, and questioning the status quo to drive improvement. A proactive team player, you build positive relationships at all levels, can influence and motivate others, and are driven by a genuine desire to succeed.
