About The Role
As the Storeman you will be primarily responsible for the receipt of goods into the business. In the job you'll be tasked with handling of materials using forklift.
Responsibilities
- Unloading and loading vehicles/trucks with forklift truck
- Relocating/moving goods around the premises
- Maintaining stock inventory and ordering new stock in when required
- Assisting SHEQ/Engineers with booking test equipment in and out and daily forklift pre‑use inspections, waste transfer notes, waste collection and removals
- Assisting planning department with getting materials/test equipment ready for jobs
- Maintain a clean working area across the premises
- Maintaining a log of items issued out
- Carrying out small maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Forklift truck licence & using attached booms
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Forklift truck using attached booms experience
- Transformer experience desirable but not essential
- A good understanding of MS office suite
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work well on own and use own initiative and work well in a team
