About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Oxfordshire as Cable Jointer 11kV to 33kV. You will be responsible for the quality and compliance to standard of workmanship and others working on the project ensuring compliance with authorisation procedures.

As a Cable Jointer you will be:

  • Acting in the capacity of Cable Jointer in compliance with Authorisation Procedures and the Electricity Supply Industry.
  • Responsible for Electrical Safety Management for any project which they have made safe for others to work upon, ensuring wherever possible compliance to Asset Owner standards.
  • Operating within the Private and Public Project Network Businesses building strong working relationships with your peers and customers.
  • Driving positive change across the business and responsible for the Quality and Compliance to Standard of their Workmanship and others working on the project.
  • Cable Jointing and associated works ensuring programmed works are at the highest Safety Standards.
  • Responsible for site safety and work quality and compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent Project delivery compliance with Ipsum processes and driving of continuous improvement.
  • Managing programmed works to the highest Electrical Safety Management Safety Standards and Environmental Standards.
  • Delivering the programmed works at the expected level of quality, performance, safety and cost and ensuring resolution of Site issues to full project completion, with site management interface between Customers, Staff and other Service Providers.

About you:

  • Technical status and a qualified Electrical Engineer with a HV and LV Jointer Qualification.
  • Detailed understanding of current HV & LV electrical Jointing techniques from 11kV to 33kV.
  • Solid and up to date knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation and technical advances.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety practice and Risk Assessment processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer facing environment.
  • You will require a CTC Clearance for this position along with a UK Driving Licence.
