About The Role
As an Apprentice Electrical Fitter you will work as part of a skilled team in the installation, maintenance and repair of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems. You will work alongside experienced fitters and engineers to develop skills in electrical installation and maintenance.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of HV/LV electrical systems, components, and equipment as per technical specifications and safety standards and support in the maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring all work complies with regulatory standards and company guidelines.
- Help carry out inspections and tests on electrical installations, circuits, and systems to ensure compliance with electrical regulations.
- Safely use and maintain tools and equipment related to HV/LV electrical systems.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines while working with electrical systems, ensuring personal and team safety at all times.
- Record maintenance activities, test results, and incidents accurately and report to supervisors as required.
- Work closely with senior fitters, engineers, and other apprentices, contributing to teamwork and problem-solving on electrical projects.
About You
Experience in Electrical Engineering or a mechanical environment is desirable but not essential, with a basic understanding of electrical safety standards and practices. Any prior exposure to HV/LV systems is an advantage. GCSE Maths, English and Science Grade 4 is required. A full UK Driving Licence for this role is also required.
