About the role:
As an HGV Driver, you will operate a range of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, combination units, road sweepers, crane and grab units, and high-pressure jetting equipment. You will work as part of a team delivering services across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road, air and utilities. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, desilting, root cutting, liquid waste and hazardous waste collection, and road cleansing.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive and operate HGV suction and jetting equipment on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, quality and environmental standards
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Report all site-related incidents to your Supervisor
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to prevent escalation
- Contribute to delivering high-quality results, reports and feedback
- Build strong relationships with customers and resolve issues effectively
- Work flexibly as part of a 24/7 operation, including early starts, weekends and UK travel when required
About you:
- Clean HGV Driving Licence
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Experience within the drainage industry preferred
- Experience operating HGV jetting equipment desirable
- NRSWA Streetworks, Confined Space and High-Pressure Water Jetting certifications desirable
- Manual Handling and First Aid at Work certification desirable
- CSCS card and Fit to Work status desirable
- DBS Enhanced Check desirable
- Water Hygiene and Reverse Assist experience desirable
- Experience in a customer-focused environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices
- Knowledge of waste network operations
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexible and positive approach to work
