About the role
Due to continued growth, were excited to offer a brand-new opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team. In this role, youll take ownership of delivering the groups commercial strategy within your business unit, building strong relationships internally and with customers to support safe, high-quality, and profitable services. Acting as the link between operations and finance, youll play a key part in managing risk and driving performance.
This newly created role will support the growth plans of our recently acquired business, Core Control Solutions. The business provides highly specialised systems integration solutions, they offer complete solutions from design and consultation right through to decommissioning at end of life. Their impressive customer list includes Kier, Costain, National Highways and many others.
As a Commercial Manager you will
Lead all commercial aspects of tenders
from cost modelling and risk review to board approvals. Develop and implement pricing strategies that support profitable growth and operational agility. Support project and contract delivery by tracking performance, maximising margins, and issuing key contractual notices. Own the commercial forecasting process
working with stakeholders to report on revenue, costs, and cashflow. Manage working capital by driving timely invoicing, monitoring WIP, and supporting cashflow targets. Be a trusted business partner
managing subcontractors, leading customer negotiations, and guiding teams on commercial best practice.
About you
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar commercial or financial role, ideally within a multi-divisional organisation. Strong negotiation skills, a clear understanding of the differences between cashflow and revenue, and practical ideas for improving both are essential. Up-to-date knowledge of contractual law and commercial practice is desirable, though a willingness to learn is equally valued. If youre commercially astute, process-driven, and ready to make a real impact, wed love to hear from you.
