Drainage Operative (Patching)

Working closely with the Team Leader as a skilled operative to deliver patching solutions to our valued clients, in both regulatory and non-regulatory environments. The majority of work will be on our established frameworks with the country’s leading water companies. You will work as a team member and play an active part in being responsible for all site activity, ensuring the team is working safely and efficiently and that work is completed within the required timescale.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Support the Team Leader in day-to-day duties.
• Assist in all patching work completed on site.
• Ensure that all Ipsum site and reporting processes are adhered to fully.
• Be a role model for your team, passing on experience to further the development and skill set of operatives.
• Work towards the compliance of site staff with respect to Health and Safety, Quality, and Environment.
• Ensure company policies are always adhered to.
• Report all site-related incidents.
• Identify and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalate.
• Support the Team Leader in producing high-quality results, reports, and feedback.
• Establish good relationships and communication to resolve issues and ensure early resolution of any potential problems.
• Be flexible: we operate 24/7, so there may be early starts, weekend working, and out-of-hours working across the UK.

About You

Desirable Qualifications & Professional Membership(s):

• Previous experience and/or qualifications within the Utilities and/or Drainage Industry.
• Full Clean Driving Licence.
• Patching City and Guilds.
• EUSR – Patching and Lining.
• Experience as a member of a patching team.
• NRSWA Streetworks.
• Confined space level 2 and above.
• High-pressure water jetting.
• Banksman training.
• Experience patching across a range of diameters, using a range of standard and pillow packers.
• OS19 Qualification.
• Working knowledge of robotic cutters.
