Role overview

Have you ever wondered what makes a brand successful? Or why some brand campaigns fail and some succeed? The Brand Health Tracking team at Ipsos is dedicated to helping clients understand how and where to focus to enhance the equity of their brands and drive growth for the business. We work with an envious list of the world's leading brands and our work spans many sectors: FMCG, Travel, Quick Service Restaurants, Telecoms, Energy, Finance, Retail, Home appliances, etc. Our research covers a range of areas, including campaign evaluation, optimisation, and brand equity measurement, providing clients (both in the UK and globally) the information they need to make their brand positioning and activations more efficient and effective at engaging key target audiences.

You will be able to answer key questions, like: 'How effective is the brand strategy in driving acquisition of new customers?', 'Are the brand communications resonating with the target audience and having the desired impact on the brand?', 'How is the media mix contributing to effective marketing?'

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Research Executive, you'll work across all stages of the research process from proposals to set-up, questionnaire design, fieldwork monitoring, data checks, report writing, storytelling, and presenting. You'll take full ownership of your projects, building strong client relationships, delivering and supporting on debriefs, supported by a talented team of researchers so you can further develop your client servicing skills. You'll be responsible for coordinating and managing the smooth day-to-day running of quantitative ad hoc projects and continuous programmes across some of our biggest accounts, ensuring we deliver impactful, insightful, and actionable research. You'll be writing questionnaires, developing and checking scripts, code-frames, table specifications, data, and outputs. You'll also develop presentations and reports, identifying insights and stories in the data to make sound recommendations for our clients. With support from the senior team, you will have regular contact with clients to develop a detailed understanding of their needs and strategy. You'll work alongside internal operations teams to get the best data for our clients. You'll provide them with clear specifications and instructions and ensure that these are met. You'll work closely with senior members of the team to find the story in the data and to ensure that the deliverables we produce for our clients (reports, workshops, and presentations) land with impact. You'll be tracking project budgets and suggesting ways we can drive efficiencies. You'll also supervise and provide guidance to more junior members of the team, including graduates.
