As a Research Manager at Ipsos, you will play a key role in leading and delivering high‑quality research projects for our clients. The Research Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional research solutions to our clients. As a strategic thinker and client champion, you will lead research projects from conception to completion, ensuring high‑quality deliverables that address client objectives and drive business impact. You will leverage your expertise in research methodologies, data analysis, and project management to guide project teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the business. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in our London office and the rest from home.
Day to day
- Client Management: Main point of contact for clients, build and maintain strong relationships, understand needs, and ensure expectations are met.
- Project Leadership: Oversee project teams, deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications.
- Financial Management: Manage project finances, produce accurate costings and monitor budgets; contribute to revenue generation by writing proposals and developing client accounts.
- Quality Control: Review and ensure quality of all project materials and deliverables, including questionnaires, discussion guides, reports, and presentations.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop existing client accounts.
- People Management: Manage and guide junior team members.
Essential criteria
- Experience managing quantitative tracking studies from set‑up through to reporting.
- Strong understanding of quantitative research methodologies and tracker design.
- Experience designing surveys and questionnaires for ongoing trackers.
- Ability to analyse trend data and turn findings into clear insights.
- Confident presenting results and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality delivery.
Desirable criteria
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills; quick learner and detail‑oriented.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Financial awareness: experience managing project finances and ensuring profitability.
- Proficient in data analysis software (SPSS, Q, R).
