Datasmoothie is a data analysis solution designed specifically for market researchers.They are part of the Global Data Management Tower within Ipsos and their products offer an all-in-one solutions that helps users create and manage their data pipeline automating the process to assist in handling the full breadth of data processing and analysis tasks.
This is a unique opportunity to join the team building Promptly, our new AI agent platform that is reshaping how market research is done. You will be working at the cutting edge, helping to develop a tool that allows researchers to analyse raw survey data instantly using natural language.
As a key developer on this fast-moving, collaborative team, you will build new AI-powered analysis tools (like segmentation and key driver analysis), improve semantic search capabilities, and manage APIs using FastAPI. You will also be crucial in integrating Promptly with other Ipsos platforms, optimising performance, and writing clean, testable code. This role offers the chance to work with experienced developers and product leads, directly influencing a product that will be used by over 5,000 clients globally.
About You
Essential skills:
- Professional Python experience
- Strong comfort with APIs, backend logic, and asynchronous workflows.
- A genuine passion for writing code, demonstrated through personal projects or exploration of new technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in using a Unix terminal.
- Curiosity about how AI can make data analysis faster and better, with hands-on experience and adoption of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot).
Desirable Skills
- Experience with FastAPI or similar web frameworks.
- A keen interest in LLMs, AI agents, or prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with survey data, structured data, or analytics workflows.
- Exposure to cloud tools such as Firestore or Google Cloud Storage.
- You’re not afraid of maths (bonus if you’ve studied stats or calculus).
