Make your mark at Ipsos. Ipsos’s Audience measurement team is recruiting an experienced technology deployment manager. In this critical role, you will bridge the gap between our core engineering/data science teams and our market stakeholders. You will be responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end technical delivery, understanding the dependencies between Data Science and Engineering, and ensuring the solution is successfully transitioned into a live market environment.

This role sits in Ipsos’s Audience Measurement business unit that leads the UK market in media audience understanding. They measure engagement across various media, providing data on audience reach and composition to advertisers and content owners. Their technical project managers ensure the success of complex technology deliveries, managing the deployment of engineering and data science products.

What is in it for you? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that enjoys a fast-paced environment. The role offers you:

  • The chance to create and own the master delivery plan.
  • Work and own the "Blueprint" for deployment—taking our core IP (Applications and Modelling frameworks) and orchestrating their delivery into a live market environment, ensuring the solution is robust, compliant, and ready for "Business as Usual" (BAU) operations.
  • Empowerment to set and drive the pace of delivery.
  • Operate across multiple Agile teams, connecting the development backlogs to the client deadline.

Your Day to Day

  • Integrated Planning: Create and own the master delivery plan.
  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain standard project controls, including RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), resource forecasts, and budget tracking.
  • Schedule Management: Ensure client deadlines are reflected in the planning for the technology teams and managing scope and acceptance with the client.
  • Resource Coordination: Work with Technical Leads to ensure the right skills are available at the right time. You must forecast resource requirements to prevent bottlenecks during critical integration phases.
  • Deployment Blueprint: Create and maintain the standard "Deployment Blueprint"—the playbook for how our technology is rolled out, configured, and localized for new markets or clients.
  • Quality & UAT: Oversee the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase. You are responsible for ensuring the deployed solution meets the technical specifications and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) before client handover.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Provide factual, transparent status reports to stakeholders. You must translate technical progress and blockers into clear business implications (time, cost, quality).
  • Vendor & Third-Party Management: Where the solution involves external data providers or third-party technology, you act as the primary operational point of contact, ensuring their delivery aligns with the master plan.

About you:

Essential Criteria:

  • Technical Project and Deployment Management: Significant experience managing complex software or data projects. You must demonstrate a track record of taking systems from development through to live market deployment.
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience working with Data Science, Analytics and complex Data Engineering teams is essential.
  • Methodology: Expertise in both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies. You must be able to wrap Agile development cycles in a structured project governance framework suitable for fixed-deadline contracts.
  • Tooling: Advanced proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
  • Analytical thinking
  • Resilience, flexibility and agility
  • Creative thinking
  • Motivation and self-awareness
  • Empathy and active listening
  • Curiosity and lifelong learning
  • Service orientation and customer service
  • Talent Management
  • Leadership and social influence
