Make Your Mark at Ipsos

Driving client growth is a key part of our 5-year plan and is owned by the Chief Client Officer and the Client Organisation team. The sharp end of this effort is owned by the Client Officers - working directly with our key clients and Service Lines to ensure client relationship excellence, and drive growth and value creation for their portfolio. The Senior Client Officer (SCO) owns the responsibility to bring to clients the best of Ipsos and be the "Voice of the Client" among Ipsos teams.

What is in it for you?

  • Strategic Leadership: This role allows you to be at the forefront of client strategy by understanding diverse sectors, anticipating strategic challenges, and crafting a long-term vision for client success.
  • Business Development: Opportunity for you to create commercial action plans with a focus on driving growth and expanding opportunities by promoting Ipsos services, contributing to new revenue sources, and leading impactful proposals and pitches.
  • Client Relationship Management: This position empowers you to build deep, trusted relationships with executive-level clients, ensuring the delivery of value through insight and innovative approaches.

The role:

The SCO manages a client portfolio (3-5 clients depending on the size and potential of the clients) and conducts the following activities for each client:

  • Client Strategy: Understand client sector, context and strategic/growth questions the client is facing. Build the long-term vision for the client identifying client's growth agenda, client priorities, client power map, competitive landscape, Ipsos value proposition. Build a strategic commercial action plan with the Service Lines and Global Account Directors (if client is managed at global level) that plans for growth and is consistent with Service Lines budget reporting.
  • Business Development: Activate the commercial action plan to meet target revenue objectives in coordination with the Service Lines. Take a business development approach with the client to develop opportunities, promote Ipsos services and create additional revenue and new sources of revenue. Lead proposals and pitches where there is no Service Line involvement or strategically significant. Advise Service Lines on pricing and optics to ensure we hit the client brief. Look for and develop opportunities to put Ipsos services top-of-mind (e.g. conference attendance / speaking, hot seats, client hacks).
  • Client Relationship Management: Build relationship and trust with clients' business decision makers (C-Suites, business teams - both insight and outside insight - etc), to establish trusted advisor status. Ensure ongoing retained programmes are providing recognisable value to clients. Build on previous work to give additional value ("connect the dots"). Provide added value to client with new ideas, thought leadership, and innovative ways of doing market research and growth strategy.
  • Reporting: Manage the opportunity pipeline and report progress to the Chief Client Officer and Global Account Directors for globally managed clients. Ensure account health dashboard and board reporting are up to date and high quality.
  • Technology: Ensuring effective use of Ipsos Facto our inhouse generative AI platform built by Ipsos for rigorous social and market research.

  • Proven revenue generation / business development experience
  • Commercial expertise - good understanding of pricing strategy and optics
  • Strong storyteller and communicator both written and verbally, with experience in public speaking
  • Research experience - knowledge of a broad range of offers across Service Lines and experience running projects from brief to deliverable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of building rapport and external / internal networks
  • Collaborative by nature but able to lead from the front
  • Be truly entrepreneurial and challenge the status quo in a constructive way.

Benefits:
