Agile/Scrum Master - Audience Measurement

Ipsos is looking for an excellent Agile Master, someone experienced as an Agile practitioner who can guide and coach the team on Agile principles and best practices, while ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and with high quality.
This role sits in Ipsos' Audience Measurement service line which leads the UK market in media audience understanding. They measure engagement across various media, providing data on audience reach and composition to advertisers and content owners. Their technical project managers ensure the success of complex technology deliveries, managing the deployment of engineering and data science products.

The role

As the Agile / Scrum Lead, you will:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as standups, planning, reviews and retrospectives with clear intention and a focus on outcomes
  • Drive and facilitate PI Planning events, ensuring teams are aligned on priorities, dependencies and delivery commitments across the programme increment
  • Guide and coach teams on Agile principles and best practices, driving meaningful improvements in ways of working regardless of the team’s starting point
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are well-refined, prioritised and understood by the team
  • Identify and remove blockers at the team level, and escalate systemic or organisational impediments where needed
  • Monitor delivery health such as flow, risks, dependencies and make them visible to the right people at the right time
  • Communicate delivery progress, risks and trade-offs to stakeholders clearly and proactively
  • Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, psychological safety and constructive ways of working
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile practices across the broader delivery organisation

About you:

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidate would ideally have performed a similar role for a Market Research agency working across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will need to have the following experience:

  • Proven experience as an Agile Master, Scrum Master or equivalent role in a technology or product delivery environment
  • Proven ability to drive meaningful improvements in Agile ways of working, regardless of the team's starting point
  • Professional experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, and Confluence
  • Professional experience with software development methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience identifying and addressing delivery blockers, risks and dependencies proactively
  • Knowledge of software development practices, such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test-driven development
  • Experience working across multiple teams or disciplines simultaneously
  • Familiarity with PI Planning or equivalent cross-team planning and dependency alignment at programme level
  • Experience coaching or mentoring others on Agile ways of working
  • Exposure to systemic impediment resolution beyond team-level blockers
  • Understanding of software development or data delivery practice
