Are you a qualified financial accountant eager to join a collaborative central Finance team at a global research firm? Do you enjoy IFRS reporting, intercompany reconciliations across many countries, liaising with auditors, and using AI and advanced tools to streamline accounting and controls? If so, read on.
Join Ipsos’ central Finance team as a Financial Accountant supporting the Director of Financial Accounting. You’ll be part of a close‑knit team (Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Payroll) working on a combined turnover of c.£350m and supporting over 2,000 employees across 80+ countries. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll implement and maintain internal controls, prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, and manage balance sheet, prepayments and fixed asset reconciliations. You will liaise with external auditors for interim and year‑end audits, handle VAT returns, support commercial divisions with monthly reporting, and take on ad‑hoc finance projects.

Essential skills
- Preparation of month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Strong balance sheet, prepayments and fixed asset reconciliation experience
- Intercompany reconciliation experience for numerous countries (complex multi‑entity environment)
- VAT return preparation and timely submission experience
- Proven experience working with external auditors (interim, half‑year, year‑end) and supporting statutory accounts work
- Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with accounting systems and data analysis
- Qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with solid financial/accounting experience in large or multi‑country organisations
- Ability to prioritise, work independently and support senior finance stakeholders
Desirable Skills
- Previous exposure to financial and management accounting in a commercial setting
- Experience with analytical functions and preparing finance‑related insight for internal clients
- Knowledge of payroll, revenue recognition and cost of sales accounting processes
- Experience in talent development or people management
- Comfort working in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment and supporting cross‑functional stakeholders – able to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency in AI use and adoption to streamline accounting tasks, improve controls and accelerate reporting
