You will join a passionate team of around 60 specialist media researchers, with a diverse set of skills, backgrounds, interests and experiences to learn from. We work with many of the world’s most famous media, entertainment and technology brands to help them better understand, reach, engage and demonstrate the value of their audiences. We focus on all forms of media and have a special interest in AI and emerging tech, gaming, social media, programme appreciation, sports, Gen Z and Alpha, B2B, audience representation – and more. As part of a team, you will use this research to tell compelling, evidence‑based stories that answer clients’ business questions and support them in navigating the evolving media landscape.
In this role, you’ll work with data, understanding and interpreting it to make a real impact. Your focus will be on what the data means, showing your findings to clients and crafting insights‑led stories that drive their business decisions. You’ll answer key questions like, “How does our research impact the client’s business? How can they use this information to refine their strategy? What could these changes mean for them financially?” Collaborate with team members to set up research projects, liaise with suppliers, and work with clients. Design questionnaires, write table specifications, and check and interpret quantitative data. Draft discussion guides, support moderation, contribute to brainstorming and qualitative analysis. Provide updates to clients, design reports, analyse data and support debriefs. Gain exposure to the entire project life cycle, from taking client briefs to managing timelines and costings, developing materials, and ensuring quality control. - A minimum of five GCSEs (including Maths at grade C (4) or above and English Language at C (4) or above) and a minimum of CCC at A Level or equivalent (not including General Studies).
As a Market Research Apprentice at Ipsos, 80% of your time will be spent in work, with 20% studying. You will study the Level 4 applied Market Research standard. Alongside work, your part‑time study will equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a professional researcher by the end of the 2‑year programme. After completing the apprenticeship, you will be eligible for a permanent position and promotion to further your career at Ipsos.
