Ipsos is running an exciting and ground-breaking study to measure and understand the different types of media people enjoy. Alongside our technology partners, we have developed an automated electronic media monitoring system which passively measures what people like to watch on TV, listen to on radio, and app/web use through installation of software on their devices.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a part of this team, using both qualitative (e.g., communication with the panel members) and quantitative (e.g., managing and analysing media consumption data) research methods. You will contribute significantly to understanding audience behaviours and preferences, providing invaluable data for clients to tailor their media strategies effectively.
This role will suit someone who enjoys communicating with a diverse set of people, helping solve problems, and who is interested in mobile computer technology. The role’s responsibilities, such as ensuring the panel’s smooth operation and resolving any issues, require precise attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Your strong interest in mobile and computer technology will help prepare you for future trends in media research.
This is a varied and interesting role including:
- Being responsible for the quality and smooth running of the panel.
- Carrying out daily processes.
- Problem solving.
- Communicating both internally with the Ipsos teams and externally with the panel members.
To be effective in this role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Confidence in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) – intermediate to advanced levels, with ability to interrogate data quality, use V-Lookups, create lists, pivot tables and reports, and perform simple sums.
- Numerical competence – good standard maths.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable and confident speaking on the phone to members of the public.
- Structured and logical problem-solving approach.
- Highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Keen interest in consumer mobile and computer technology.
- Previous experience of market research software systems desirable but note full training and support will be provided on our new software tools and processes.
