Cloud Platform & Reliability Production Engineer – Audience Measurement

Ipsos CrossMedia is at a pivotal and exciting stage of growth, and we are looking for a motivated Cloud Platform / Production Engineer to join our innovative Data Science and Engineering teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on both high-profile, established projects for blue-chip clients and to contribute to brand-new, greenfield initiatives.
What is in it for you?
- Build and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: You will own the management of our production and development infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS. This includes our Kubernetes clusters, cloud storage, and identity and access management.
- Master Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You will design, write, and deploy code to manage our infrastructure using modern IaC tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Automate Everything: You will be responsible for our CI/CD pipelines, using tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to automate the building, testing, and deployment of our applications and data workflows.
- Orchestrate Data Workflows: A core part of your role will be creating, maintaining, and monitoring our data ingestion and delivery pipelines using Argo Workflows.
- Ensure System Reliability (SRE Principles): You will monitor the health and performance of our systems, ensuring efficient resource usage.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: You will be empowered to propose and implement structural improvements to our platform.
- Collaborate Across Teams: You will work closely with our talented Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Owners.
- Shared On-Call Responsibility: You will participate in a shared, rota-based, out-of-hours emergency on-call schedule.
The Role:

About you:
- Cloud Platform Experience: Professional experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of IaC principles and tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
- CI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
- Databases: Working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases or data warehouses.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash) and comfort with the Unix/Linux command line.
- ETL/Data Pipelines: Familiarity with data workflows and tools like Argo Workflows.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):
- Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
- NoSQL Databases: Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Agile and Project Tracking: Experience with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Networking Concepts: A good understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Security Best Practices: A good awareness of and interest in security and privacy in the cloud.
