Position Overview Location: Wrexham with 10% travel. This role is within our Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) team. It is a high-visibility position that involves bridging Ipsen with external clients and regulatory bodies. The role requires leading scientific report writing, emphasizing the importance of strong scientific knowledge and experience. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management: Lead the Purification Chromatography Community of Practice, develop scientists, oversee projects, and mentor team members. Ensure alignment with pharmaceutical development teams. Scientific Expertise: Serve as the scientific leader for purification chromatography, design strategies for current and future molecules, and liaise with scientific bodies. Innovation and Development: Promote innovation, adopt new technologies, and drive environmental and safety initiatives. Compliance and Quality: Ensure regulatory compliance, prepare for inspections, and improve solvent recovery and yields. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate internally with operations, quality, and leadership, and externally with vendors and clients. Qualifications and Experience Degree in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field focusing on chromatography. Hands-on experience in purification chromatography and R&D project leadership. Leadership skills, team management, and excellent communication abilities. Resilience and capacity to work with senior management. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in relevant fields with a focus on chromatography. Additional Details Employment type: Full-time.
