About the Role

We are now seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to join our Rare Liver Diseases team. This is an exciting opportunity to become the face of Ipsen within this highly specialised therapy area. In this pivotal role, you will act as the single point of contact for HCPs and system stakeholders, bringing deep understanding of the full patient journey and shaping solutions that optimise pathways to care across Northeast England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver account strategies and territory business plans, turning real‑world insights into action.
- Apply a deep understanding of the patient journey to identify opportunities to enhance care pathways.
- Navigate local market access and hospital/ICB environments to support optimal patient access.
- Build strong, value‑led partnerships with HCPs and stakeholders, becoming their partner of choice.
- Engage cross‑functional colleagues to drive swift, decisive responses to account needs.
- Leverage strong scientific and clinical understanding to support discussions with specialist teams.
- Apply excellent business analytics and strategic thinking to prioritise opportunities aligned with Ipsen and NHS priorities.
- Ensure compliant and ethical conduct aligned to Ipsen values, the ABPI Code and NHS guidelines.
- Manage territory activities using CRM tools in a timely and accurate manner.
About You

Experience & Expertise
- 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical speciality care.
- Track record of success in sales and business management.
- Up‑to‑date understanding of the NHS environment, local access and payer processes.
- Experience with formulary pathways, patient pathways and driving change across HCOs.
- Evidence of proactively addressing NHS challenges with tailored solutions.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Life sciences degree (or higher).
- Strong communication, planning and analytical skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in high‑performing matrix teams.
- Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, organised and forward‑thinking.
- Full UK driving licence & ABPI qualification.
