About the Role

The Global Medical Project Lead is responsible for high quality support of project set-up, implementation and coordination of existing and new projects sitting under responsibility of the global medical organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans based on the business needs, including project milestones.
  • Monitor the project execution ensuring delivery in the agreed timeline and quality.
  • Implement project management methodology and promote best practices.
  • Work in a structured manner to identify project stakeholders, key milestones and ensure delivery within the timeframe for each of the tasks and for the overall project.
  • Participate in the project designing and planning of all operational activities related to the project, lead the set-up of the project plan.
  • Maintain project scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Identify project risks and issues linked to project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact, escalating when necessary.
  • Develop metrics and track KPIs and KIIs where appropriate for projects.
  • Involve all stakeholders to maximise the impact of projects, including Medical functions as well as cross-functional teams.

Coordination of business activities

  • Responsible for coordinating all business activities related to the project.
  • Responsible for all aspects around meeting organization and execution related to the project in scope.
  • Responsible for clear communication and/or training to the relevant stakeholders.

Contract management

  • Where support is needed, coordinate around contracts and budgetary aspects.

Coordination new asset integration

  • Develop the Integration project plan in collaboration with the medical workstream lead.
  • Monitor the execution of the plan and identify action plans with functional leads.
  • Communicate when delays to execution occur.

Transversal activities coordination

  • Meeting management for each project under the scope (agenda, speaker coordination, minutes, follow-up actions).
  • Be the Medical Sharepoint technical expert.
  • Contribute to MLT important presentation design, improvement.
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with Medical Affairs colleagues and cross-functional partners at local and global level.
  • In close alliance with the Chief of Staff to the CMO coordinate global medical transformation projects and communicate deviations/discrepancies to the Medical Transformation Lead, and proactively offer solutions to help progress on specific deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required ideally in Life Sciences; advanced degree preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred, experience in medical affairs is a plus.
  • Experience with budget and forecasting management.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft and any modern IT and office software.
  • Multi-task performance in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Regular work travelling.
  • Fluency in English.
