The Role
We are looking for a Corporate Communications and CSR Senior Manager to shape and deliver an integrated communications and CSR strategy across the UK & Ireland. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of high‑impact communications programmes and CSR initiatives that amplify Ipsen’s purpose, strengthen our corporate reputation, and align with our business priorities. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing both internal and external audiences while ensuring all activities reflect Ipsen’s values and Ways of Being.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Communications
- Lead and execute external communications programmes including media relations, thought leadership and crisis communications
- Drive local executive communications in partnership with the General Manager
- Deliver global campaigns across science, product and disease awareness
- Develop and oversee integrated, multi‑channel campaigns (digital, social and traditional media)
- Manage local media and social media relations
- Support and deliver media training for senior leadership
- Ensure consistency and quality across all internal and external communication channels
- Support crisis communication activities and reputation management plans
- Provide strategic communications and project management support across the organisation
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Coordinate local community engagement initiatives (e.g. Community Day and related events)
- Oversee local sponsorships and donations in line with legal and ethical standards
- Drive local communication of Ipsen’s corporate commitments and initiatives, including environmental strategy and access to healthcare programmes
- Governance & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor on communications and reputation management
- Deputise for the Head of Communications and Patient Advocacy when required
- Ensure compliance with ABPI/IPHA and all relevant codes of practice
About You
Experience & Skills
- Degree in communications, business or a related field
- Significant experience (approx. 5+ years) in corporate communications or specialised communications roles
- Proven track record delivering organisational change communications that drive engagement and business impact
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or agency environments
- Exposure to CSR programmes or broader organisational initiatives
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling communication strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in media training and crisis communications is advantageous
- London‑based, with the ability to work in line with Ipsen’s hybrid working policy (60% on‑site)
