Job Description: Brand Manager, Rare Diseases
Location: The role is based in Paddington, London, with hybrid working in line with Ipsen’s working policy

Reporting to: Business Unit Director, Rare Diseases
About the role: Ipsen is looking for a Brand Manager, Rare Diseases to support the continued growth of our rare disease portfolio in the UK. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and delivering the commercial success of our Rare Disease brands. Working collaboratively across functions and closely with Global teams, you will develop and implement brand strategy and tactical plans through a range of omnichannel and digital activities, driving engagement with key stakeholders and maximising brand performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional who is passionate about making a meaningful difference for patients living with rare diseases.
Key responsibilities
- Brand Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development and proposal of marketing inputs into the strategic Brand Plan, with a strong patient‑centric focus
- Design and implement tactical marketing initiatives, including:
- Multi‑channel customer engagement initiatives
- Multi‑stakeholder programmes
- Interactive and customised content
- Develop robust strategies and lead cross‑functional projects to achieve brand objectives
- Build strong customer‑facing relationships to anticipate challenges and work with cross‑functional teams to define effective action plans
- Identify risks or opportunities early, keeping management informed and recommending timely course correction where required
- Produce accurate forecasts, budgets, and market share analysis in partnership with management and sales teams, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to meet financial and marketing objectives
About you
- Essential experience and skills
- Strong commercial mindset with relevant market experience, including digital marketing
- Proven experience managing a pharmaceutical brand
- Budget management experience
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- In‑depth understanding of marketing channels and tactics
- Experience leading cross‑functional projects, including complex initiatives such as launches or repositioning
- Highly creative, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Extensive hands‑on brand marketing experience
- Experience in pre‑launch or launch environments
- Background in rare diseases and/or hepatology
- Experience in high‑cost specialist medicines markets
- Degree‑level qualification or marketing qualification (essential)
- ABPI qualification (desirable)
- Fluent English required
