We’re looking for an Operational Excellence Lead who can drive meaningful, measurable improvements across our Wrexham site. In this role, you’ll use proven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC and PDCA to enhance efficiency, quality, compliance and performance. You’ll partner with teams across the business, solve critical problems, develop capability through coaching and training, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver Operational Excellence projects that demonstrate improved efficiency, quality, compliance and cost performance.
- Facilitate root‑cause analysis and structured problem‑solving for business‑critical issues to ensure robust solutions are implemented.
- Monitor KPIs and use data-driven insights to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities, and ensure they are delivered.
- Coach and train employees at all levels in continuous improvement tools, including Lean and Six Sigma belt training.
- Promote and model a continuous improvement mindset, influencing teams to adopt new ways of working.
- Support the site’s Tiered Accountability Process to ensure effective communication, escalation, and delivery of improvement actions.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Minimum Green Belt with the desire and ability to be hands-on.
- Significant experience in a similar role ideally from pharma or another highly regulated industry.
- Proven track record of delivering improvements.
- Experience coaching and training.
- Proactive, self-starter who is able to encourage accountability in others.
- Prior contribution to the attainment of Shingo prize is highly desirable.
