About the Role: The Medical Education Lead Oncology focuses on developing external medical education strategies for the prioritised launch brands/assets from -2 years to +2 years from launch. The strategies will be defined from needs analysis of all focus stakeholder groups, and will aim to deliver tangible impact on clinical management aligned to guidelines as well as positively impacting on care gaps. The strategy will include analysis of the channels of preference and to ensure appropriate and multi-channel solutions are developed with an educational continuum to achieve optimal impact.
The role will be responsible for developing a clear external communication and engagement strategy within the global team as well as co-creating with global/regional stakeholders and key markets to ensure the educational initiatives are easily adaptable, with a clear strategic thread, and with consistency in the quality and delivery of the medical education activities.
The role will include integrating the pre, peri and post engagement within the strategy and communicating this to the internal stakeholders including the associated KPIs and visualisation of all related metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops clear needs analysis strategy to identify gaps in knowledge and skills among healthcare professionals.
- Analyzes data from various sources to determine the educational needs in clinical practice and patient management.
- Curriculum Development: Design, implement, and evaluate educational curricula that align with adult learning principles and clinical relevance to create continued learning opportunities.
- Instructional Design: Develop engaging instructional materials and utilise e-learning platforms and simulation tools to enhance learning.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Create and administer assessments to evaluate learner outcomes and program effectiveness and impact including the use of these data to drive continuous improvements of future programs.
- Project Management: Lead and manage educational projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in medical education. Implement innovative solutions to improve educational programs.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Clinical/Science degree (e.g. Ph.D., MD, PharmD) in the life sciences or other relevant scientific or clinical discipline.
- Strong experience in pharmaceutical industry in development and execution of medical strategy, medical education.
- Demonstrated experience in working above country within pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and instructional methods.
- Proficiency in e-learning platforms, simulation tools, and data analytics and omnichannel experience.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation abilities.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex scientific data.
- Functions with excellent judgment, high integrity and in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies.
- Fluency in English.
