We currently have an opportunity for a Production Line Leader at our site in Desborough. This key role will ensure that the production line maximises utilisation and operates safely and efficiently, meeting daily targets and quality standards.

Type: Permanent Full Time

Hours: Monday to Friday rotating shifts (06:00‑14:00 and 14:00‑22:00).

Salary: £31,398.96

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting and communicating all issues affecting production effectively.
  • Ensuring finished products and donor stocks maintain traceability in accordance with IPS Production and Quality Procedures.
  • Motivating a team of people to meet production targets.
  • Ensuring the final product meets client specifications (SPI).
  • Maximising production efficiency to meet hourly/daily plans.
  • Adhering to and promoting best practice in company health, safety, and quality regulations.
  • Ensuring all paperwork and systems are completed accurately in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assisting in developing a skills matrix for all production workers.
  • Assisting in training and development of new starters.
  • Monitoring, controlling, and minimising waste.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
  • Knowledge of company procedures and active demonstration of compliance.
  • Ability to positively lead a team of people (temporary labour).
  • Recognition and promotion of continuous improvement.
  • Displays a positive attitude to change.
  • Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all performance aspects.
  • Experience working in a customer‑led environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience with manufacturing machinery and processes.
  • Preferably food or packing experience.
